Detox Tea Packaging

As another project in my publication class, I was tasked with designing a box of tea towards an audience of young-urban men We were told to create a brand purpose before designing the box. I also created my own dieline based off of a tea box I bought and used as a reference.

RESEARCH

With society moving into a more organic and health-conscious attitude, tea has become more and more of a popular drink choice due to the many health benefits. My brand’s purpose for breaking into the market is to bring sophistication and masculinity to the market of tea and mainly target it towards men. Stepping away from the peaceful, bright and serene illustrations and photography, this brand enters a dark, strong, and sleek look with touches of organic and natural textures.

The target consumer is a young man in his late twenties living in West Loop and working as a product analyst at a tech-startup in Chicago. He is a perfect embodiment of rugged yet dapper and equally as concerned with his health and fitness as he is with keeping up with the local nightlife. You can often find him utilizing his in-house gym as well as keeping up with men’s lifestyle blogs, such as, IMPROB. He shops with brands like J. Crew but when it comes to groceries he keeps it close to home at Jewel Osco, Fox Trot or Marianos. This young gentleman is looking for a tea that not only cleanses and energizes him but one he would also not be afraid to but on his shelf next to his protein powder.
